Most beach days went about the same.
We'd get up around 8am and get ready. I'd take a few pictures from our balcony, we'd read our Bibles, and then head down to the hotel breakfast.

It was always a bit cool in the morning with a breeze coming off the ocean. This made it ideal to drink multiple cappuccinos and enjoy the view from the hotel for a while.
We would chat about this and that, people watch, and enjoy each other's company.
Some days before heading to the beach we would do an outdoor workout in the morning which was like a HIIT exercise. I will leave a description of it at the bottom of this post. One day we ventured out to a local gym that the hotel owners (the sweetest Greek couple) recommended to us.
That was a really cool experience for us to be around like-minded gym goers despite being from completely different cultures (even though it was 80+ degrees and had no air conditioning).

We really fell in love with the genuine hospitality of the people at the hotel. Little things they would do really made us enjoy the trip so much more. Like when we got into the car after the gym and the husband (Dimitri) had waters for us.

At the beach we would simply be in full vacation mode. We'd lay in the sun, play paddle ball in the ocean, order slush puppies and iced frappes, eat the amazing Greek food, and float on our donut floaties. I would always ask Isaac for pictures here and there. He's become quite the photographer which he liked to remind me of after taking these pictures.

Does anyone else love what the ocean does to their hair? I absolutely love salty kisses, sandy toes, and beach hair.

We always talked about walking to the main town center for dinner, but after the days in the sun we were always feeling too lazy and this was vacation after all. So literally every night for dinner we ate at the hotel's restaurant where again, we absolutely loved the staff. It was so fun to get to know them and talk with them every evening.
Another reason we enjoyed eating there was because it had the best view of the sunset. Other tourists in the area would make reservations to eat there as well, and we had access to it just steps away from our room. What a blessing!

One of our favorites from the restaurant was their Greek pizza (half with no veggies for Isaac), and we always ordered cappuccinos to drink while we watched the sunset.

This was the typical day in Zakynthos, but we did want to take a day to see a few of the famous places around the island. Specifically the blue caves and Shipwreck cove.

It was about an hour drive to the other side of the island where we boarded a boat to see the blue caves. Isaac did some cliff jumping here which was really cool. That man loves to swim.
From there we boarded another boat and headed to shipwreck cove which took about 25 minutes. We enjoyed the boating itself. We had spent a lot of time going to the lake when were dating, so it brought back a lot of memories. We dangled our feet off the back of the boat and enjoyed the scenery on our way there.

"Wow," is what I heard Isaac say as we came around a corner and saw the cove. It's hard to put to words the insane beauty of this little corner of the world. The color of the water is unreal. God's creation is an awesome thing. We spent about an hour here taking pictures, swimming, and just being fascinated by the water.

Afterwards they drove us up to the top of the cliffs. Looking back - I don't know how I had the courage to take these. Isaac was holding my shirt (just in case) as I dangled my feet over the sheer drop off to snap this amazing picture. Totally worth it. Just don't tell my mom.

The HIIT (Hight intensity interval training) I did:
25 push ups
25 dips
30 Jumping squats up the stairs
40 step ups with a kick back
Repeat 4 times.
